Dr. Johannes Riegl pioneered circuitry development for semiconductor laser transmitters while studying at the Vienna University of Technology from 1964 to 1969. He filed his first patent and continued to file many more. In 1978, he co-founded Riegl Laser Measurement Systems (LMS), which began developing applications for industry and surveying.
